…is one of the best tools I’ve come across lately!
Michael’s was holding a 50% off sale on everything connected with the Cuttlebug, so I stopped in last Saturday. Needless to say, most of their stock (Cuttlebug) was already depleted since it was the last day of the sale.
I did, however, find some small embossing folders of a puppy dog I fell in love with, and then began browsing the entire scrapbooking section of the store (which is quite large!).
One thing I’d seen several months ago was a Stamp-a-ma-jig. They had one on the shelf, so I bought it as well.
Very easy to use! I am thrilled with it!
I haven’t used it much, other than to try it out, because I’m involved in a knitting marathon. More about that later.
I also purchased a couple of stamps and a doodle border punch.
(The Fiskars doodle border punch is nice, but I do not like the way it embosses some of the design. I’d be much happier with it if it didn’t emboss, but it is what it is.)
If you enjoy stamping, and you’re tired of the frustration of trying to get your stamped images “just so”, the Stamp-a-ma-jig is definitely an end to that headache.

I figured it out, and I am a happy camper this morning!
After messing with it off and on yesterday afternoon, then again this morning, I finally came up with a perfect sequence for a beautifully deep emboss.
The sequence is:
A plate
Fiskars Texture Plate
cardstock
1/8-inch thick mouse pad
C plate
It works like a charm!
After finding one site that suggested silicone and layers of paper, etc., I tried it only to find it didn’t leave a satisfying impression. I want it to show!
I found another site that suggested rubber sheets from Lowe’s (or Home Depot) - again, 1/8-inch thick, but they also added a few layers of paper and using the B plate. The rubber will work, is certainly cheap enough ($1+), and can be used instead of the mouse pad. (I happened to have an old mouse pad that wasn’t being used for anything else.)
Anyway, here is my result:

Beautiful, eh? I think so!
When I get up in the wee hours of the morning, I’ll fix a cup of coffee, then I’ll sit down to the computer. Usually, I’m still not awake enough to focus on email, so I will begin with my home page, read the news, read the gossip columns, read the RSS feeds from different blogs, etc.
This morning I found myself on youtube.com once again, and came across a video that described the husband of a scrapper as a “scrubby”. I love it!
Hey, my new Cuttlebug arrived today! Since it came to the office, I had no choice but to resort to using Post-it notes while trying it out. Now my scrubby has Post-it note embossed stamps stuck to his desk.
I finally finished the latest birthday present, but I won’t be able to post the pictures until late next week. Now I can start on scrapping Christmas cards! (This is not something that has ever excited me before - what is exciting about buying a box of pre-made cards?)
Looking for 40% off or free shipping codes for Joann.com? Check out this site - www.edealinfo.com. This is another site I came across this morning. They also offer coupons for several other merchants.
I’m ready to wrap this up for now - everyone have a terrific day!
This comes with:
It is most important to watch the DVD. Otherwise, you miss out on so much. The booklet that comes with it is helpful, but only after you watch the DVD. I can’t stress that enough! I tried finding tutorials for it on the internet, but there weren’t any.
It’s awesome! Right now Joann has it for $40.99. Wait for 50% before you buy it! I’m not saying it isn’t worth $41, but it sure is easier on the pocketbook!
Daughter’s birthday is October 23 - as soon as she gets it, I’ll be posting a picture of how I used my Cutter Bee 1-2-3D Paper Crafting System.
